On January 5, Russian mercenaries did not breach the ceasefire in Donbas combat area. Press office of Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Tuesday.

"No ceasefire violations were observed along the entire division line", reads the message.

During the day, Ukrainian combat engineers cleared four hectares of area from landmines and passed 75 explosive items for firther safe destruction.

Earlier, on January 4, pro-Kremlin militants opened fire five times, using grenade launchers and machine guns.

Russian occupants used an anti-tank grenade launcher and heavy machine gun to attack positions near Vodyane. The enemy also opened fire from anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers not far from the Luhanske settlement. Ukrainian forces took no casualties.
