Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko believes that the introduction of peacekeeping mission in Donbas is possible only in case of problems with the Minsk agreements implementation. He stated this at the annual Yalta European Strategy forum, Yevropeyska Pravda reports.

"If all other projects fail, we will be forced to ask the international community for holding a peacekeeping operation in one format or another," said the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Head.

At the same time, he expressed doubt about the effectiveness of peacekeeping missions in countries, where armed conflicts take place. As an example, the diplomat recalled Africa, where UN peacekeeping operations have been going on for decades.

Prystaiko also believes that Ukraine should fully implement the Minsk agreements concluded by the previous government, even if the current leaders of the country do not like them.
