Since the beginning of the day, June 16, occupants violated the ceasefire in Donbas conflict zone nine times. This is reported by the headquarters of Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

The militants fired at Ukrainian positions six times, they used anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms near the Vodiane; large-caliber machine guns near Talakivka; automatic grenade launchers near Pavlopil area; large-caliber machine guns near Novotroitske and Lebedynske.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine three times. Small arms were used near Krymske. The hostile forces used grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms fired near Novotoshkivske and automatic grenade launchers and small arms near Yuzhne.

As a result of the hostile attacks, one soldier was injured.
Earlier we informed that at least 977 civilians have been killed by mines since the outbreak of hostilities in Donbas. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs.

“At least 977 civilians died from mines and 1528 were injured during the period of armed conflict,” the statement said.

Earlier, the UN reported that the territory of Donbas is one of the most mined regions in the world, and Ukraine ranks first in the world in the death toll due to mine explosions.

At the same time, the Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories Vadym Chernysh argued that it was pointless to take steps to demine the territory until the end of hostilities in Donbas.
