On early November 16, Russia-backed mercenaries used mortars to shell Mariinka in Donetsk region. A residential house was demolished during the attack, reports press office of the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation.
During that assault, the occupants landed 13 82-milimeter mines.
"It's approximately 600 meters between the hit zones and the actual division line, which proves that the armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire on the residential construction deliberately", the HQ said.
The military claims that the intensity of attacks on inhabited localities in Donbas has grown lately. In September, the mercenaries opened fire on residential infrastructure seven times; in October, the number of attacks made 9. Eight attacks have occurred since the beginning of November so far.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to ensure that goods from certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are admitted on equal terms with Russian goods. The relevant decree "On provision of humanitarian assistance to the population of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine" was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
