Day in Donbas: Militants violated ceasefire five times

Since the beginning of the day in Donbas, militants fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military five times and used weapons of prohibited calibers, as the HQ of the Joint Forces Operations reports.

In Donetsk region, militants fired from automatic easel grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms fired at positions near Hnutove; near Starohnativka, they opened fire from automatic easel grenade launchers.

In Luhansk region, militants fired from 120 mm mortars, automatic easel grenade launchers and heavy machine guns at positions near Krymske; near Orikhove, they opened fire with mortars of 120 mm caliber, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

As a result of enemy shelling, one Ukrainian military man was wounded.

As we reported before, the UN Permanent Representative’s Office of Ukraine demanded from Russia to follow the urge of the Secretary-General on the ceasefire in Donbas.

“We urge the Russian Federation to adhere to the UN Secretary-General's call for a global ceasefire and to silence its guns in eastern Ukraine,” the Ukrainian diplomats noted.
