Day in Donbas: One Ukrainian serviceman dead, seven wounded

On May 21, pro-Russian mercenaries opened fire in Donbas four times. The enemy used Minsk-banned weaponry, namely 120 mm mortars. The press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Thursday evening.

In Donetsk region, hostile forces opened fire near Avdiivka, Starohnativka and Bohdanivka. They used grenade launchers and small arms.

Russia-backed illegal armed formations also opened fire from 120 mm mortars near Krymske, Luhansk region.

One Ukrainian military man deceased in action. According to the updated information, seven soldiers were wounded in combat. The enemy casualties are being specified. No new cases of Covid-19 disease were observed during the day.

As we reported before, journalist Dmytro Gordon decided to interview lawmaker of Russia’s State Duma, ex-prosecutor of occupied Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya and former so-called "Defense Minister of Donetsk People's Republic" Igor Girkin on his own initiative. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) considers them as possible extra evidence of the Russian aggression against Ukraine
