Day in Donbas: Militants fired at Ukrainian positions once, no casualties reported

Over the day, January 27, the pro-Russian militants fired at the positions of our troops once. This was reported by the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

In particular, in the North operational group action zone, the Russian occupying forces attacked positions of the Ukrainian military near the village of Novotoshkivske; they used automatic grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.

The defending units suppressed the enemy fire by using fire weapons on duty. No losses among Ukrainian military personnel reported over the day. The situation in the Donbas conflict zone remains under the control of the Ukrainian military.

The International Committee of the Red Cross sent over 150 tons of humanitarian aid to the militant-controlled territories of Ukraine in Donbas. The State Border Guard of Ukraine reported that on Saturday.

Four vans loaded with humanitarian cargo proceeded across the Novotroitske checkpoint. The transports carried food and medicines from the Internationa Committee of the Red Cross, the Border Guard said.

All entry-exit checkpoints in Donbas work as scheduled, the authority reported. It also added that 41,8000 people and 4,600 vehicles crossed the checkpoints in both directions.
