November 18, Russian-backed militants violated the ceasefire eight times. No casualties among the Ukrainian military were reported, the press center of Joint Forces Operation wrote on its Facebook page.

The hostile forces targeted Ukrainian positions near the Crimean, Luhanske, Novotoshkovske, and Maiske, Novomykhailivka, and Lebedynske.

According to the JFO HQ, illegal armed groups fired at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters with 82 mm caliber mortars, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as well as infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and other small arms.

As reported before, on November 9, the disengagement of forces started in Petrivske, Donetsk region. Emergency Service employees held the mine clearance of 12 hectares in the territory of Petrivske, 89 explosive devices were found.

As we reported earlier, France, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine will meet December 9 for negotiations under the Normandy Four format to address the ongoing war in eastern Ukraine
