Over the past day, June 22, Russian-backed militants violated the ceasefire 31 times in the Donbas. One Ukrainian soldier was killed, eight more were injured in the result of enemy attacks, the press center of Joint Forces Operation HQ reported.
It is reported that the enemy fired eight times at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using 120 and 82 mm mortars, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements. The enemy also opened fire on Ukrainian defenders from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
The attacks were also spotted near the villages of Vodyane, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka, Hnutove, Pavlopillya, Novotroyitske, Lebedynske, Opytne, Avdiivka and Pisky in the area of responsibility of the Vostok operational-tactical group (Donetsk region).
"Over the past day, one Ukrainian soldier died, eight people were injured. According to the intelligence, on June 22 one occupant was wounded, one enemy’s UAV was destroyed and one armored vehicle was damaged," the headquarters report.
As we reported earlier, one soldier of the 24th separate mechanized brigade died, blown up on an explosive device during area checks in the sector of the area of responsibility of the observer post near Olenivka village.
