On October 22, pro-Kremlin militants opened fire in eastern Ukraine's combat area four times. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Thursday evening.

All ceasefire violations were detected in Luhansk region.

Russian mercenaries landed attacks on Ukrainian positions near Artema and Shumy, using small arms. Grenades fired from automatic grenade launchers hit the vicinities of Novoluhanske.

None of Ukrainian servicemen were killed or wounded in action.

During the day, Ukrainian combat engineers cleared 14 hectares of land from mines and passed 86 explosive items for further safe destruction.

Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint in Donbas will be closed for quarantine until October 31 as Luhansk Regional State Administration reported.

“Through Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, from October 15, the admission of people at the demarcation line will be temporarily stopped by the order of the commander of the Joint Forces from 00:00 a.m. October 15, 2020, until 11:59 p.m., October 31, 2020,” the message said.

The HQ noted that this decision was made to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the territory of Luhansk region.
