Over the day, August 11, militants fired four times at the positions of the Ukrainian forces in Donbas conflict zone. Although they did not use weapons of prohibited calibers. This is reported by the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ.

In the Donetsk sector, the invaders violated the cesefire three times. From hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, they fired at positions near Starognativka; from small arms - near Vodyane; from heavy machine guns - in the area of ​​Novotroitske settlement.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants attacked strongholds of Ukraine's defenders in the Krymske region using small arms.

According to JFO headquarters, one soldier was killed, another was injured over the past day.

Earlier we reported that Defenders' March with the participation of veterans will be held instead of a military parade on the Independence Day of Ukraine. The ceremony starts on August 24 at 9:30 near the memorial cross for the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred. This was reported on the President's Office website.

“This year, the celebration of the 28th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence will be held in a new format. The main focus of the celebrations is children as the future of the country,” the President’s Office noted.

Near the memorial cross, a nationwide minute of silence will be proclaimed.

“In a sign that Ukraine and Ukrainians remember their heroes, one hundred strikes of the bell will sound, which will continue in other cities of the state. They will symbolize one hundred heartbeats of each of the fallen Heroes of Heavens Hundred,” the presidential press service explained.
