During the current day, June 24, from 07:00 to 18:00, the pro-Russian militants fired five times at the Ukrainian JFO forces. This is reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters in Facebook.
"The enemy has violated the ceasefire regime 5 times and in all cases, shelling was carried out from weapons prohibited by Minsk agreements," the headquarters said.
On the Luhansk direction in the vicinity of the Krymske settlement the enemy shelled our positions from mortars with a caliber of 82 mm, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
In the afternoon, in the Mariupol direction, the militants fired at the defenders of the Vodyane from artillery with a caliber of 122 mm and 152 mm. The enemy also actively used mortars of all types, automatic grenade launchers and small arms.
"During the fighting in this region, one of our servicemen was injured," the headquarters stressed.
Also under fire from 122-mm artillery systems and 82-mm mortar shells were the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Hnutove and Bohdanivka.
As it was reported, most of the attacks were performed using small arms and grenade launchers of various types. The enemy also used artillery and mortar launchers during the first part of the day and infantry fighting vehicle – in the evening.
The militants were shooting at the Armed Forces positions in Luhansk sector near Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Svitlodarsk and Zolote.
In Donetsk sector, the battle actions were conducted near Kamianka, Pisky and Avdiivka.
As the representatives of JFO HQ reported, the tensest situation was in Mariupol sector near Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Vodyane.
Five Ukrainian soldiers were injured during the attacks. They were evacuated in the medical facilities where they receive medical assistance.
