During the day, the pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire in Donbas conflict zone 11 times. Two soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were injured. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation on Facebook.

"In the afternoon, the enemy opened aimed fire using grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms at Joint Forces positions in Pisky, Novotroitske, Bohdanivka, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Lebedynske settlements. The strongholds of our troops near Hnutove invaders shelled from 82 mm- caliber mortars," said in a statement.

At the same time, the enemy once used weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

It is noted that during the fighting, two soldiers of the Joint Forces were injured.

Nearly thirty members of the Security Service of Ukraine died during the fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This was reported by the head of the service Vasyl Hrytsak, the press service of Ukraine's Security Service informed.

“I bow to 27 Heroes of the Service, who gave their lives for the statehood and freedom of the Ukrainian people,” said Grytsak.

He added that during the same time, 128 security officers were injured. 227 security officials were rewarded for their courage and heroism during the Anti-Terrorist Operation or the Joint Forces Operation.

Earlier president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the first time awarded the title of general to a woman. The first Ukrainian woman who received the rank of Major General, was the head of the Security Service Military Medical Department Lyudmyla Shugaley. This is reported in the decree, posted at the official website of the head of state.

On October 12, Petro Poroshenko signed six decrees on awarding the rank of general.
