On June 22, pro-Russian militants violated ceasefire in Donbas conflict zone 11 times, the press center of JFO HQ reported.
During the attacks, the enemy used large-caliber mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms prohibited by Minsk agreements. Positions of the Joint Forces Operation in the area of Starohnativka, Shyrokine, Hnutove, Novotroitske, Yuzhne and Novoluhanske took fire.
One Ukrainian soldier was wounded during the day. The Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to the shellings, the losses of the militants are being specified.
Earlier the subgroup on security was ordered to elaborate the preparation to the “bread truce” in Donbas according to the results of the Trilateral Contact Group meeting in Minsk as Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative Kuchma reported on Facebook.
It is noted that the introduction of ceasefire would change for the better situation with security in Donbas, first of all, for the civilians, who live on both sides of contact line. However, the Trilateral Contact Group thinks that the escalation observed during the last few days hinders this peaceful initiative.
“The subgroup on security was ordered to elaborate the preparation to the so-called “bread truce”. In these conditions, the OSCE SMMM should get the reliable and safe access to the whole territory of Ukraine, according to its mandate,” the message said.
