Russian mercenaries landed eight attacks on positions of Ukrainian forces in Donbas. They widely used Minsk-banned weaponry, such as 122 mm artillery systems and 82 and 120 mm mortars. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on January 14.

In Donetsk region, the enemy opened fire three times. In Nevelske, the occupants fired heavy machine guns; in Novotroitske and Mariinka, they opened fire from small arms. 

In Luhansk region, the militants fired in Luhanske, Orikhove and Krymske. 122 mm artillery shells, as well as 82 and 120 mines hit Orikhove. In Krymske, Ukrainian troops took fire from heavy machine guns and 82 mm mortars.

Two Ukrainian servicemen sustained combat wounds.

January 13, militants violated the ceasefire four times, using 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns. Hostile forces targeted Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve and Luhanske settlements with anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. They shelled positions near Horihove with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as automatic grenade launchers; they also conducted attacks near Novotoshkivske with the use of 120 mm mortars and 82 caliber mortars.
