Since the beginning of the day, July 2, Russian mercenaries landed 13 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. The HQ of Joint Forces Operation reported that on Facebook.

Not far from Zolote-4, the militants opened fire from 82 mm mortars, near Hnutove they fired three times from 120 mm mortars, in Avdiivka - five times from 122 mm artillery systems, 120 mm mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers.

In the direction of Pisky, the occupants opened fired from 82 mm mortars.

Also, civilian infrastructure and private sector objects in Avdiivka were fired on twice from 122 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars.

In addition, in Luhansk region, Ukrainian troops observed flight of a hostile drone Orlan-10. The UAV crossed the division line. 

Ukrainian forces took no casualties during the said attacks.

As we reported earlier, an environmental catastrophe could take place in Donbas within several months. Oleksiy Reznikov, Ukraine's Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories said so in his commentary for RBC-Ukraine news agency.

"In a few months, we will have an environmental disaster in the occupied territories of Donbas, and in the southern regions of Rostov region," the minister said. 

By flooding dozens of coal mines, militants put the drinking water sources in danger; these are used by 800,000 people.
