On June 30, Russia-backed armed formations in Donbas launched 23 attacks on Ukrainian positions. On twelve occasions, they used 122 mm artillery as well as 82 and 120 mm mortars banned by Minsk agreements. The occupants also opened fire from IFVs, heavy machine guns and small arms. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on early July 1.
Most of the attacks occurred in Donetsk region. 82 and 120 mm mines hit Mariinka, Opytne, Avdiivka, Pisky and Talakivka. In Talakivka, the mercenaries fired a 122 mm cannon, too. Other inhabited localities that suffered attacks were Lebedynske, Shyrokyne, Troitske, Novotroitske, Vodyane, Krasnohorivka and Verkhnyotoretske.
On four occasions, enemy forces opened fire in Luhansk region. 120 mm mines hit Luhanske; 82 mm mortar fire was observed in Novoluhanske. In Novotoshkivske, pro-Kremlin invaders opened fire from small arms and grenade launchers.
There were no casualties among Ukrainian troops over the mentioned period.
