Since the early hours of April 30, Russian armed occupants twice attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas. Maksym Prauta, the speaker of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that at a briefing, as quoted by the authority's press office.
The ministry specified that both attacks occurred in Donetsk region.
'In the nighttime, the enemy used the automatic mounted and man-portable grenade launchers, shooting at our positions in the area of Pisky. Another long-lasting attack occurred not far from Lebedynske; here the enemy opened fire at about 4 a.m., using automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms', Prauta said.
Ukrainian forces sustained to casualties over the mentioned period, the official concluded.
On April 29, the Russian mercenaries opened fire in Donbas eight times. That included the use of Minsk-banned weapons.
