Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the procedure for crossing the demarcation line for citizens of Ukraine, who are forced to live in occupied Donbas. The press service of the government reports.
The procedure for crossing the demarcation line for minors is simplified. Children would be able to cross the demarcation line when accompanied by adoptive parents, the list of required IDs is expanded (a birth certificate and temporary certificate should be attached when applying for both internal and foreign passports).
In addition, the Cabinet has simplified the procedure for moving goods. In addition, "hand luggage" category is cancelled at all.
As reported earlier, Ukrainian President Zelensky instructed the Cabinet to consider simplifying the procedure for moving citizens and goods through the demarcation line in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier, Kate Gilmore, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations, emphasized that five million people in the eastern regions of Ukraine suffered from the armed conflict.
