In the Kherson region, law enforcement officers stopped the illegal mining and use of the bowels of Ukraine by the occupation authorities of Crimea. The press service of the National Police reports.

“It was established that the occupying authorities of the peninsula through officials of one of the Kyiv enterprises used a pump station located in the Kherson region. Therefore, the station provided raw materials to a plant located in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea,” - it was informed.

Crimean police investigators are conducting a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened on the fact of illegal mining of mineral resources in Ukraine.

"During the pre-trial investigation, information was received about the illegal use by the occupying authorities of the Crimean peninsula through officials of one of the Kyiv enterprises of a pump station located in the Novotroitsky district of the Kherson region. Contrary to current legislation, the station provided Crimean Soda Plant with raw materials in the form of brine from Sivash Lake,” - head of the Crimean police noted.
