In Toretsk (formerly Dzerzhinsk) Donetsk region, emission of coal took place at the Tsentralna mine, people remained under the rubble, reports the local newspaper Dzerzhinsk.
"Today, on March 8, at the 95th section of the mine Tsentralna of Toretsvugilla company, there was a coal emision, people were sealed in the lava, rescuers arrived at the place of the accident. Currently we have no exact information on the number of miners blocked in the mine," the message says.
It is added that, according to unconfirmed information, three miners got under the emission, two of them managed to escape, one remained in the lava.
Later the information about the accident was confirmed by the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky.
"There was emission of coal and gas, there were four miners, three had time to run out, one remained somewhere under the rubble," he said to 112 Ukraine correspondent.
"Unfortunately, I was just informed that one person was found without signs of life, I do not have information about this mine," he added later.
Earlier we reported about explosion in Stepova mine in Lviv region, which killed 8 people, occurred during repair works, however the exact cause of methane explosion is still being established.
