An unarmed civilian was wounded in the attack on Novhorodske in Donetsk region; the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported this on early July 8.

It appears that the attack was launched by Russian mercenaries.

"On late July 6, Russian militants attacked the settlement of Novhorodske. It is known that the enemy launched the attack from the occupied Horlivka", reads the message.

The monitoring group of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Centre found out that 82 mm mines hit the area near the living house. A man born in 1941 sustained injuries as the mine blasted several meters away from his house. The wounded man is currently at the hospital in Toretsk, Donetsk region.

The observers from Joint Control and Coordination Centre claimed this is another case of Russia continuing the attacks on peaceful settlements in eastern Ukraine. This is a breach of Minsk agreements and all sorts of the humanitarian law, which lead to civilians' suffering, the observers said.
