The attackers on the base camp of Crimean Tatar volunteer battalion in Chongar proved to be Ukrainian troopers. Refat Chubarov, the leader of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people, reported that at Facebook.

‘The incident began with the groundless forceful capture of territory, which belongs to the Crimean Tatar NGO ‘Asker’. Fighters of the Crimean Tatar battalion are stationed there. The army servicemen damaged some buildings and property, and also abused the organization’s members,’ the official said.

Earlier, a group of armed men in uniforms invaded and captured the base camp of Crimean Tatar battalion in Chongar, Kherson region, southern Ukraine – not far from the administrative border with the Russian-annexed Crimea.
