Minister of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons Vadym Chernysh announced an offer to allow passenger trains to go between neighboring towns on the demarcation line in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Chernysh said this in an interview with the Ukrainian Truth.

"I support the idea to restore railway communication between neighboring towns on both sides of the contact line. As the railway is subordinate to the Ukrainian state I'm not talking about such routes as Donetsk-Kyiv. I mean the short routes through the contact line, for example, Mayorske-Bakhmut. Then people will not have to stand in line at the checkpoints. They will just seat in cars and go on train straight ahead to Bahmut", said Chernysh.
