Ceasefire holds in Donbas since beginning of Friday

There have been no violations of ceasefire mode in Donbas since early Friday. Press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on August 21, specifying that the information was correct as of 12 a.m.

One attack was observed in Donbas since the beginning of August 20. HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on Thursday evening.

The Russian mercenaries landed an attack near Avdiivka. The enemy used high-caliber machine guns.

"The armed provocation was chaotic; it did not pose any threat to lives and health of our defenders, so servicemen of the Joint Forces did not open fire in return", the message said

No casualties were observed among Ukrainian troops.

Recently, we reported that Colonel of Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and ex-Border Guard have been busted with moving the ammunition out of Donbas combat zone. Press office of the State Bureau of Investigations reported that on August 21.

"According to preliminary investigation, Colonel of Foreign Intelligence Service illegally moved ammunition from the combat area of Joint Forces Operation, being instructed by the former serviceman of the State Border Guard. The investigation found out that the ammunition was stolen by the ex-Border Guard serviceman, as he served in 2015-2017. He kept it in the rented garage in Severodonetsk", reads the message.

The Bureau operatives found almost 6,000 rounds of 5.45 mm, over 4,000 7.62 mm rounds, six hand grenades, five fuses to hand grenades and five anti-tank grenades.
