Berdyansk, Nikopol, and Yana Kapu will be transferred to Ukraine at sea

As of 10 a.m. on November 17, captured Ukrainian military boats “Berdyansk” and “Nikopol” are in the water area of the Henmol port in Kerch. Krym.Realii reports.

“The moving on the mooring is noticeable, people in orange vests are on the shore and aboard the boat," as said in the report.

Kommersant news outlet writes about the start of towing ships. The tugboat "Yany Kapu" sailed first, followed by Berdyansk. 

"The seaport is cordoned off by the police. It is expected that two boats (Berdyansk and Nikopol) and a tugboat will be handed over to Ukraine," reads the message.

As we reported earlier, Foreign Ministry of Ukraine sent the note to Russia in which it demanded to return the vessels captured in Ketch Strait in 2018. 25 November 2018 when the Russian Federal Security Service coast guards attacked and captured three Ukrainian Navy vessels, attempting to pass from the Black Sea into the Sea of Azov through the Kerch Strait on their way to the port of Mariupol.
