Member of the European Parliament says that the agreement proposed by Trump on Russia’s nuclear weapon reduction for relaxing sanctions is the same as selling Ukraine out.
The agreement proposed by US President Donald Trump on Russia’s nuclear weapon reduction for cancelling sanctions means “to sell one country’s freedom”.
This was declared by the Member of the European Parliament its Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Elmar Brok, representative of German CDU in his interview for DW.
“Look, it means to give Ukraine out in exchange for reducing of the part of Moscow’s nuclear arcenal. I think that such an agreement does not make sense,” Brok said.
“What will Senators Corker and McCain say”, he added.
European Parliament deputy emphasized that sanctions against Moscow were imposed for implementing Minsk agreements.
“We can cancel sanctions if that happens. This is the price,” Brok said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine’s success for Kremlin is a real disaster, according to Brok. EU gave a lot of money to Ukraine for the country to become democratic and economically successful, according to him.
