The digital broadcasting of the five Ukrainian TV channels to the territory of Crimea began at the TV tower in Chonhar, Kherson region. The member of the National Council of Ukraine on TV and Radio broadcasting Sergy Kostynsky reported at Facebook citing the Director of TV Networks of Ukraine Company Petro Semerey.

‘UA: Crimea, 5 Channel, Tonis, ICTV and Chernomorsk TV and Radio Company in the standard of DVB-T2 are broadcasted to the territory of North Crimea. The multiplex will start to work in basic mode with the capacity of 0.3 kW since September 1 and with the capacity of 1 kW since November 1’, Kostynsky wrote.

Also, he claimed that the TV Networks of Ukraine Company prepares for the broadcasting of five more Ukrainian TV channels to Crimea.

‘I ask the countrymen who live in Krasnoperekopsk, Dzhankoy, Krasnoperekopsk Region and Dzhankoy Regio to send their digital antennas to Chonhar, find the signal and capture the Ukrainian broadcasting on video’, he added.

It is possible to find the Ukrainian TV channels and ten Radio stations in Crimea via the satellite. It is possible to listen to the Ukrainian radio at the average waves of frequency 549 kHz.

Earlier, it was reported that the installation of the TV tower was finished in Luhansk region. It took a month to build it is the third tower in the list.
