Bolivian documentary filmmaker Soledad Dominguez has addressed Donbas residents at the People of Peace international forum, 112 Ukraine TV channel reports.

"Dear residents of Donbas, dear friends. I am addressing you from Bolivia, located in the heart of South America. I am doing it with hope and love. People here know about your history, know that you are part of the people who once liberated the world from fascism. We will always remember this," Dominguez said.

She stressed that the world would have been different if there had not been a "sacrifice of their ancestors".

"I want to say that you are our brothers. We support peace in your beautiful country. Ordinary people in Ukraine deserve this main human right - to live in a world full of equality and without hatred," the director added.

As we reported earlier, UN Human Rights Coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani has drawn attention to the problems of 1.2 million vulnerable residents of Donbas who have been facing a lot of adversity due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
