The body of the deceased SMM OSCE’s observer was evacuated to the territory that is under control of the Ukrainian government. It was reported during the airing of the 112 Ukraine TV channel by press officer of the Ukrainian side of JCCC Dmitriy Strutinskiy.
‘According to the stated rules and appeal of the OSCE SMM ‘s representatives, the Ukrainian side of JCCC has worked out the approval of the silence regime in the areas of Pervomaisk-Molodizhne-Popasna. Also they arranged for submitting of the corridor for the evacuation of deceased. Yesterday at 22.00 the body was evacuated to the territory that is under control of Ukraine’, he noted.
According to Strutinskiy, the investigation of the mine explosion incident of the observer’s patrol in Luhansk region is within the OSCE’s mission competence. But it is still unknown whether the Ukrainian law enforcers will have access to the investigatory actions or not.
As 112 International reported, the SMM OSCE’s vehicle went on a land mine nearby the Prishib village, Luhansk region on April 23. One of the OSCE’s monitors perished in the accident and another two were hurt. According to the Ukrainian side of JCCC, during the mentioned period the cease-fire regime was observed by both the Ukrainian government troops and the Russia-backed militants.
