Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko charged leaders of Ukraine’s regional administrations to do everything necessary so that civilians in Avdiivka timely receive the necessary humanitarian assistance. Poroshenko’s press service reported that on Tuesday evening.

The ongoing shelling badly damaged the most important communication systems in the town – electricity and water supply, as well as the heating system. People are short of water and food, warm clothes, heating devices and fuel.

The joint staff was created to coordinate efforts on the issue; it is chaired by Donetsk governor Pavlo Zhebrivsky.
