Avdiivka, Donetsk region was shelled with grads today, as Pavlo Malykhin, head of local administration, writes on Facebook. Due to the attack, the area where the gas pipeline is being built was damaged, as well as the powerline. The city was left without power for about half an hour.
“The experts plugged the power back in but due to the damages, the stability of the system isn’t guaranteed. Shelling of power lines and gas pipelines isn’t novelty for Avdiivka. Yet again the intentional steps of the enemy to create an artificial crisis are carried out in winter,” Malykhin wrote.
The BM-21 "Grad", is a Soviet truck-mounted 122 mm multiple rocket launcher. It is prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as the trucks should be withdrawn from the contact line, and weapons of calibre over 100 mm are prohibited to use.
