Authorities of occupied Donbas report number of Ukrainians with Russian passports

According to militants’ representatives, over 10% of occupied Donetsk citizens received Russian citizenship

Representatives of the occupation authorities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions accounted for a number of Russian passports received by local citizens as so-called protocol advisor of Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Rodion Miroshnyk reported on Telegram.

Over 200,000 citizens of the so-called LPR received the citizenship of the Russian Federation on the simplified procedure.

“The number of the citizens of Luhansk People’s Republic, who received Russian passports, has already surpassed 200,000. According to the recent data provided by the Internal Affairs Ministry, 202,327 citizens of the Republic received Russian citizenship,” LPR Head Leonid Pasechnyk stated.

Concerning the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) ‘deputy head of migration service’ Ihor Skrybov reported that 235,000 people received the Russian passports and this rate surpasses 10% of the whole population.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov stated that Russia issued over 400,000 of its passports in the occupied Donbas, as well as over 2.5 million in the occupied Crimea.
