Commenting on the probability of the attack in June-August, Nayev stressed that such risks are taken into account within the planning and Ukrainian forces are ready for that.
“Number one priority for the Joint Forces is to prevent aggression of Russia. Obviously, the defense line will be strengthened maximally. In any case, the Armed Forces of the aggressor state, which are counterworking us now, have to realize that they will get an accurate response,” Nayev said.
Despite the regular reports that the militants’ units are conducting training the Ukrainian army is prepared better and ready for the defense, the Commander believes.
“But it is not about it. We are on our territory, which we defend. They are mercenaries and criminals. There is nothing to comment here,” he stressed.
Earlier, Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko informed about the termination of the Anti-terrorist Operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions on April 30. Instead, the Joint Forces Operation will be deployed, within which an integrated administration staff of the National Guard, SBU, Border Guard Service, National Police and other military servicemen and uniformed services of the state. Serhiy Nayev was appointed the Joint Force Commander.
