Another stage of mine clearing works in Stanytsia Luhanska complete

60 hectares of land have been cleared of mines and other explosive devices

One of the stages of mine clearing works in Stanytsia Luhanska is over. Specialists managed to clear the area of 44 hectares of agricultural lands and 16 hectares of roads and woods in and around the settlement. Vitaliy Komarnytsky, the head of the local military and civil state administration said so as quoted by the administration's press office.

"...the territory of Krasny Derkul, Shyroky, Krasna Talivka and Nyzhnyobaranykivka settlements are considered cleared and checked", he said.

Owners of land parcels in these four settlements confirmed that the land is safe for use.

The area witnessed many rounds of mine clearing works conducted by many governmental and non-governmental organizations, such as Ukraine's Defense Ministry, State Special Transport Service of Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry, The HALO Trust, DDG (Denmark), FSD (Switzerland), DTU and Demining Solutions.
