The unexploded ammunition began to detonate in the Luhansk region because of the fire there. Stanychno-Luhanska regional administration reported that on October 5.

The flames took the area between Nyzhnioteple and Artema. According to the message, there were no fires in that area even during intensive artillery and missile shooting in 2014-2015. The fire approaches the local substation, but rescue teams hold it.

Earlier, Ukraine's State Border Guard claimed that entry-exit checkpoint Stanytsia Luhanska resumed working after a long break.

The checkpoint will be working in the autumn mode, from 7 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. every day. Ukrainian border guards will not be allowing people across the checkpoint after 6 p.m.

Previously, Russian mercenaries opened fire from heavy caliber guns in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska. Later, messages appeared about the fire in the forest area next to the checkpoint. Hence, it temporarily stopped working.
