The pyrotechnics units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine daily hold works on inspection of the country’s territory for detecting, confiscation and elimination of explosive devices of war times. 54 cases occurred in 24 hours; 331 ammunitions were found out as the Emergency Service reported.
Moreover, the works continue on the mine clearance of the released territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Thus, during September 14, the units of the State Emergency Service inspected 1.79 hectares and detected 42 explosive objects in the Joint Forces Operation zone in Donetsk region.
The pyrotechnics crews of the State Emergency Service in Luhansk region inspected 4.71 hectares and detected and confiscated 11 artillery shells, 15 mortar shells, four grenades and an engineer ammunition.
Besides, within the implementation of the joint project of the Emergency Service and Danish Refugee Council/ Danish Demining Group, 0.0833 hectares were inspected for mine clearance in Luhansk region; five artillery shells and a mortar shell were detected and passed to the National Guard.
Totally, the Emergency Service crews confiscated and eliminated 49,571 explosives, including 1,009 aerial bombs, since the beginning of the year.
As we reported, since the beginning of 2020, 12 deaths were recorded in Donbas as a result of explosions of mines.
