“Actions of the foreign militants increase the intensity and duration of armed conflicts in which they participate. On the other hand, they represent a significant risk to the security of their countries of origin as well as the transit countries,” states the Department of Justice.
Slovakia seeks to punish the passive participation in the activities of armed groups in other states. Modification of the legislation is to facilitate the proper completion of the world armed conflicts, prevent the radicalization.
As reported before, a Czech-Slovak unit was formed as a part of the International Brigade, which fights on the side of Donbas militants.
