Forensic medical experts Dnipropetrovsk using DNA examination managed to determine 192 names of dead soldiers, according to Interfax.
“Since the ATO was announced 209 bodies of unindentified soldiers from the conflict zone were taken to Dnepropetrovsk. After DNA testing, 64 bodies have already been brought home to Lviv, Chernihiv, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. Another 119 bodies of identified heroes are buried in their native towns and villages,” as reported by Interfax. 190 bodies of dead soldiers are still being tested.
The names, The bodies of 192 participants of counterterrorist operation were brought to Dnipropetrovsk regional center, and all the names were determined with the help of DNA examination.
From the beginning of ATO 946 dead bodies were transported to Dnipropetrovsk bureau of forensic medical examination, 563 of which were identified by the relatives.
