“We have information about their movements. Military vehicles are persistently moving either to the temporarily occupied Donbas territories, or to the Russian Federation. The vehicles wax and wane all the time,” notes the spokesman.
Militants repetitively use the so-called "harassing fire", and shell the ATO posts near the towns to cause the counter attack. “Our soldiers use small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, which are not outlawed by the Minsk agreements, only in the case of a direct threat to the life of military personnel and civilians,” said ATO spokesman.
The ATO press-center reported that the situation in the east of Ukraine remains uneasy, but is controlled by the Ukrainian forces though. Thus, from 18:00 to 00:00 throughout the demarcation line pro-Russian militants fired the ATO positions for more than 20 times.
As was reported yesterday, 2 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, another 10 were wounded.
Militants and Ukrainian Armed Forces accuse each other of violating the ceasefire. OSCE observes the violations from both sides of the conflict.
