Russia-backed militant groups attacked Ukrainian forces for 37 times in 24 hours,said ATO press center. Within two hours, they were shelling Ukrainian posts near Novotoshkovskoe, Luhansk region, and Novgorodskoe, Donetsk region.
The armed provocation by militants were fixed near Stanytsia Luhanska, Marinka, Krasnogorovka, Maiorska, Rassadki, Troitske.
“The most stifle battle took place near Opytne. Our soldiers were shelled with different kinds of weapons. Since 8:40 PM pro-Russian rebels were shooting with infantry fighting vehicles near Peski. They were counter attacked with the weapon that is not prohibited by the Minsk agreement,” states the ATO press center.
During the last 24 hours only 2 cases of ceasefire violation were registered near Mariupol. At 1 PM militants attacked Novotroitske, using 82-mm mortars, and at 2 PM shelled Granitne with grenade-guns. Last bombardment continued for 20 minutes.
In the area of Shchastia, Luhansk region, a Ukrainian forces clashed with sabotage and reconnaissance group.
Since midnight to 6:00 militants attacked Ukrainian posts near Krymske. Also Ukrainian soldiers near Novotoshkovske were assaulted for three times. In particular, militants used tanks, 120-mm mortar, 122-mm guns and small arms.
As reported by Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for ATO, for the last 24 hours one Ukrainian soldier died and two are injured.
Yesterday far right volunteers from "Aydar" and "Pravyy Sector” battalions organized a demonstration in Kiev. The protesters demanded to break the Minsk agreement and officially declare the anti-terrorist operation to be war with Russia.
