Nine civilians were killed in Donbas from 29 January to 9 February. This was stated by the first deputy head of the Special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine, Alexander Hug at a press conference, which were broadcasted on Facebook.
"During the period from January 29 to February 9 we registered the following: were confirmed 50 cases of wounds of the population, 9 of which were fatal. It is unacceptably high number of victims. It happened due to the fact that the weapons long ago should have been withdrawn.." Hug said.
While enemies heavy weapons in Donbas are located so close to each other, the risk of escalation of the conflict is inevitable, added first deputy head of the Special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine.
Earlier Militants searched OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) patrol at the “DPR” zero control point near Horlivka and released them. This was stated in the message, published by OSCE SMM on Twitter.
