Today in the Donbas conflict zone yet again proved that the Russia-backed militants pay no respect not only to the cease-fire agreements, but to international humanitarian law as well, according to the Ukrainian Army HQ.
In Mariupol sector, the militants were launching attacks on the Ukrainian Army positions near Maryinka. Residential blocks of the town were also attacked with heavy machine guns and grenade launchers. As a result, walls of the buildings were damaged and some of the outbuildings destroyed.
Apart from that, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers were used to attack Ukrainian strongholds near Shyrokyne, Vodiane, and Pavlopil.
In Donetsk sector, the Russia-backed terrorists opened fire from machine guns and small arms near Mayorsk twice. The same arms were used to attack Pisky.
In Luhansk sector, 82-mm mines were fired during the night near Krymske.
Overall the militants broke the cease-fire nine times. The Ukrainian Army opened return fire seven times. No casualties occurred among the Ukrainian soldiers.
