“In 2017, the number of victims among civilians were 478 people, 86 of them were murdered, others got injured. Compared to 2016 with 442 victims, 88 of them were murdered. The number might be higher, these are only those who we managed to check,” – he says.
Hug added that the distance between both sides changed in 2017.
“We saw that they approached each other in several places. Every time one of the sides change their location, getting closer to each other, we record the tension increase, which usually turns to a violence, ” – Hug added .
In general, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission registered more than 401,000 violations of the ceasefire.
