Situation in ATO zone deteriorated again. Russia-backed terrorist forces increased the intensity of fire in some areas. Militants use artillery weapons, particularly multiple launch rocket system was used once. Russian illegal armed groups launched 77 attacks on positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also shelled residential areas in the frontline cities. Four Ukrainian military officers got wounded as a result of hostilities in the last 24 hours. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.
Most of the attacks were reported in Mariupol direction, where militants violated ceasefire 39 times. Enemy used multiple launch rocket system for the first time in the last few days. This happened near Bohdanivka, where gunmen were also attacking with 120 mm mortars. Chermalyk and Krasnohorivka were attacked from 120 mm mortars. Beyond that, 122 mm tube artillery was fired at Chermalyk. Militants fired small arms, grenade launchers and 82 mm mortars near Vodiane, Shyrokyne, Pavlopil, Novotroitske, Hnutove, Talakivka and Marinka.
Three attacks on residential areas were recorded in the same direction yesterday. 2 enemy projectiles hit houses in Krasnohorivka in the morning. Later several artillery shells exploded in Pavlopil. Invades fired rocket-propelled grenade launcher at the peaceful street in Marinka. Fortunately, no civilians got injured in the shelling.
26 attacks were recorded in Donetsk direction. Avdiivka remains the most dangerous zone, where militants systematically use 120 and 82 mm mortars, tank cannons and less powerful infantry weapons. Beyond that, occupants attacked strongholds near Pisky using banned mortars and tank weapons. Tough situation was observed in Zaytseve, Novhorodske, Verkhnyotoretske, Opytne and Nevelske. For the record, one of the 82 mm mortar shells exploded closed to the residential sector, one civilian got wounded as a result.
In Luhansk direction, enemy was also active over the past 24 hours. Russia-backed bandits fired 120 mm mortars several times on positions of ATO forces near Krymske, Kriakivka and Novotoshkivske. Ukrainian strongholds near Krymske also suffered fire from 122 mm artillery. Militants used small arms and grenade launchers near Stanytsia Luhanska, Donets station, Novooleksandivka and Popasna. 82 mm mortar firing was recorded near Novooleksandrivka.
