7000 female military personnel became the participants of the combat actions in Donbas, as Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Stepan Poltorak said on air of 112 Ukraine.
“Over the period of war with Russia 166 military women received combat state awards, 1500 got rewards, over 1000 – rewards from the Head of the General Staff. I would like to stress that over this period, 7000 female military personnel became participants of combat actions. You protect our country and its territorial integrity courageous and heroic,” the Minister noted.
Natalya Khorunzhaya, Alla Vovk, Kateryna Noskova, Sabina Galytska died in combat actions over past five years.
“Today, around 56000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Poltorak noted.
As it was reported, 2945 Ukrainian soldiers died over the past five years of Russia’s aggression in Donbas.
