Over the summer 2017, 55 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Donbas conflict zone, another 269 were wounded. The information comes from daily reports by Information Analysis Center of National Security of Ukraine, according to Tyzhden.
The Ukrainian Army suffered most losses in June, when 23 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in action, while another 111 were wounded.
In July, 22 defenders of Ukraine were killed, and 80 wounded.
In August, 10 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, while another 78 wounded.
As it was reported earlier, the Trilateral Contact group agreed upon a new cease-fire in Donbas that started working before the new academic year began. However, the OSCE claimed the cease-fire wasn’t working.
