54 attacks reported in ATO zone, two Ukrainian soldiers killed

Situation in ATO zone remains tense. Russia-backed occupation forces continue armed provocations against Ukrainian Armed Forces. Enemy attacked 54 times at Ukrainian strongholds since midnight. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed as a result, four officers got wounded. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.

In Mariupol direction, enemy fired 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns at Krasnohorivka. 120 mm mortars and grenade launchers were used to attack Novotroitske. Positions near Berezove were attacked from 82 mm mortars, while Hnutove — from automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Enemy used IFV weaponry, anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to attack Vodiane and Marinka, small arms were fired at Shyrokyne. APC weaponry and grenade launchers were used to attack strongholds near Chermalyk, while IFV weaponry and heavy machine guns were fired at Pavlopil.

In Donetsk direction, enemy attacked positions near Avdiivka using 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns. Verkhnyotoretske defenders were attacked with grenade launchers and 82 mm mortars, while positions in Butivka mine were attacked from heavy machine guns. Enemy fired at Ukrainian positions near Zaytseve using anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms. Enemy snipers were active near Butivka mina and Avdiivka.

In Luhansk direction, Russia-backed occupation forces fired 122 mm artillery, 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns at positions near Novotoshkivske. Strongholds near Krymske were attacked from 122 artillery, grenade launchers and 82 mm mortars. Enemy shelled Staryi Aidar with 120 mm mortars, Novooleksandrivka — with anti-tank missile system. Grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns were used near Novozvanivka. Enemy fired heavy machine guns and small arms at positions near Zhovte.

Commanders took decisions regarding adequate fire in response in certain cases when there was danger to lives and heath of Ukrainian military officers.
