One-time state aid in the amount of 3,700 dollars was paid to 46 Ukrainians who had been held captive and released since the beginning of the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine in different years. The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine made the payment, as its press service reports.
"Budget funds in the amount of 171,500 dollars were transferred to the personal accounts of 46 citizens who were recognized by the Interdepartmental Commission on June 24, 2021 as having been deprived of liberty as a result of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.
At the end of July, 24 more Ukrainians received similar one-time financial assistance.
The Ministry of Reintegration continues to work on simplifying the mechanism for providing assistance to citizens affected by the conflict in Donbas.
In June, the Ministry of Reintegration paid to 3,700 dollars 32 Ukrainians released from captivity.
In May, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova stated that there were 285 people on Ukraine's list for the swap of prisoners held by militants in ORDLO. In the list of militants there are 90 people. Already known principle "all for all" can be used to return of the Ukrainian citizens.
