“Since the beginning of 2014, 351 Kyivans, who participated in the Anti-terrorist operation, have died. One woman was among the deceased,” Nazarenko stated.
In total, more than 26,000 participants of the Anti-terrorist operation were registered in Kyiv. Around 1,000 of them are women. Since 2014, $14,2 million was paid to the soldiers and their families. Around $71,4 thousand was allocated for burial of the combatants.
Reportedly, according to the decision of Kyiv City Council, the days when Kyivans, who died is Donbas, are buried, would be declared the days of mourning. The state flags with a mourning ribbon would be slightly lowered on the buildings of local self-governance, public utilities, and other institutions in the sign of grief.
Earlier, Petro Poroshenko stated that 2911 Ukrainian soldiers have died in Donbas since the beginning of combat actions.
In early June, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin stated that since the beginning of combat actions in the east of Ukraine, more than 240 children have died.
